Depending on your area of responsibility, your individual goals and personal development will be discussed with your manager. In monthly 1:1 meetings, you will discuss priorities, current challenges and opportunities for further development in depth. The focus here is also on personal exchange and, of course, on your professional development in your individual role.

This is how the application process works
Telephone interview
The first step is to invite you to a short telephone interview (approx. 30 minutes). There you can ask all your questions about the advertised position and about OMS Retail and we have the chance to find out more about you and your motivation. The interview will be conducted by our recruiter.
Talk about Microsoft Teams
In the second step, we meet via Microsoft Teams for an online interview. Here you will get to know the department management and you will discuss your experiences, expectations and ideas about the open position in more detail.
Get to know us personally in our office
If both parties have a good feeling and want to go further in the application process, we will invite you to our office in Garbsen for a personal meeting. This will give you the chance to see how we work and to get to know the team and your future colleagues.

How can I recognize a good corporate culture and what is the corporate culture like at OMS Retail?

What is the best way to prepare for the interview?
Take a close look at the job advertisement you are applying for in advance and realize why you find the position attractive. You know best what skills and experience you already have that fit the vacancy. Also think about which questions remain unanswered for you and what you would like to know about OMS Retail as an employer or the position. Then you will already be well prepared! We would like to have an exchange with you at eye level and look forward to getting to know each other during the application process!
How important are grades compared to practical experience or soft skills?
There is no general answer to this question, as it depends entirely on the position in question and how much specialist knowledge is required in the specific area. However, if you are applying for a (lateral) entry-level position where not much specialist knowledge is required, it is mainly about your own motivation and the soft skills you bring with you.

How seriously do you take issues such as sustainability or corporate social responsibility?
We take both issues very seriously and are aware of our responsibility. For example, a large part of our vehicle fleet is already electronic and we are actively working on making our services, such as the recycling of our electronic price tags, environmentally conscious and sustainable. We also take our social responsibility seriously. As part of the Neumüller Becker Entrepreneur Foundation, we regularly support projects to help children and young adults. You can find out more here.
How is feedback, mistakes or criticism dealt with?
We live an open communication and error culture. We give and expect honest feedback in both directions. If mistakes happen, we talk about them together and find solutions.
What does the onboarding process look like at OMS Retail?
Even before your first day at work, our HR team and your department will take care of your onboarding plan. Onboarding includes all organizational topics (such as access to tools, technology, important platforms, ...), important meetings with specialist departments and, of course, intensive onboarding in your team with on-the-job training, clearly defined goals and, if necessary, your own projects that will accompany you in the first few weeks. In addition, you will always have someone at your side with your manager and your team for personal and technical questions.
