OMS Inventuren GmbH becomes OMS Retail GmbH

Garbsen, November 2024 – OMS Inventuren GmbH, a leading provider of inventory services with over 20 years of experience in the retail industry, today announces its change of name to OMS Retail GmbH. This step marks a significant milestone in the company's history and underlines the expanded service portfolio as well as the international orientation of the company.

OMS Retail GmbH remains true to its roots and will continue to operate from its headquarters in Garbsen. The Lower Saxony-based company is part of Labora Holding GmbH and employs up to 900 people each year. By changing its name, OMS Retail GmbH is sending a clear signal for growth, innovation and customer proximity.

"With our new name OMS Retail GmbH, we are underlining our expanded vision and our growing service portfolio," emphasizes Managing Director Achim Höfer. "While we continue to expand and strengthen our seasonal core business of stocktaking, we have also developed into a comprehensive and pan-European partner for the retail sector. We are continuously expanding our expertise in new business areas in order to meet the changing demands of the market. This transformation is also reflected in our new brand identity."

The company's expanded range of services goes far beyond the tried and tested inventory services. It now also includes the installation and maintenance of electronic price labels (ESL) as well as a wide range of in-store services:

  • Facing and merchandise presentation
  • Seasonal sales area adjustments and promotional placements
  • Shelf optimization and conversions in retail
  • Installation of shelf monitoring systems

The change of name goes hand in hand with the introduction of a new corporate design and a more expressive figurative mark that visually unites all services under one roof. "The stylized "O" of OMS also functions as a location icon and symbolizes our core business: carrying out personnel-intensive tasks directly at our customers' sites throughout Europe. This key visual will also be the focus of our international brand communication in future," explains designer and marketing manager Rüdiger Eilers.

A unique selling point of OMS Retail GmbH is its innovative route concept. By using fixed teams that are responsible for all of a customer's stores, the company guarantees efficient and virtually error-free implementation of projects of all sizes throughout Europe. At the same time, the concept helps to reduce CO2 emissions and combines economic efficiency with ecological responsibility.
